Thunder Over Columbus

On September 21-22, 2024, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the Columbus Air Force Base’s Thunder Over Columbus Air Show. MAA Conference attendees will find it an easy one-hour drive from Tupelo following the conference!

The Thunderbirds perform around the world to display the pride, precision and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents. In addition to showcasing the elite skills all pilots must possess, the Thunderbirds demonstrate the incredible capabilities of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Among other performers will be the F-35 Lightning II Demo Team, the C-17 Globemaster Demonstration Team and Tora Tora Tora. Static displays will include the F-15 Strike Eagle, the C-5 Galaxy, the KC-135, the T-38C/A Talon, the T-1A Jayhawk, the T-6A Texan II and more.

The show will be open to the public, and admission and parking are free.
