MDOT REPORT

Multimodal Report: The application cycle for FY 2023 has taken off as of March 1, with applications due on April 1. We will be moving forward with the usual caveat that awards offered as the result of the cycle will be contingent upon the availability of funds within the MDOT budget. It is my goal to keep the cycle moving along the same schedule as has been the norm. This would put the committee meeting in early May and seeking authorization from the Mississippi Transportation Commission shortly thereafter. The caveat is that I am still handling railroad related responsibilities for MDOT. I will make sure to keep everyone in the loop should we need to adjust the schedule.

FAA 2010 Airport Inspections: The annual airport inspections are moving right along. David has completed 35 of his 69 inspections for the year. Five inspections have turned up no discrepancies thus far: Indianola Municipal, Roscoe Turner Field, George M. Bryan Field, Eupora Municipal and Oktibbeha County.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate MAA President Carol Snapp on her upcoming retirement. While I have only known Carol a short time, I have no doubt that she has meant a lot, not only to the Trent Lott International Airport, but to the aviation community around the state of Mississippi!
