Congress Funds Mississippi Airport Projects
Several Mississippi projects have been included in this year’s Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations, thanks to the diligent efforts of our state’s congressional delegation. The appropriations bill was part of a package that was enacted in early March.
Included are:
$500,000 Greene County Board of Supervisors – Greene/George County Regional Airport Planning
$810,000 Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers Airport Equipment Replacement
$3,500,000 Olive Branch Airport/Taylor Field Apron Rehabilitation
$1,800,000 Cleveland Municipal Airport Improvements
$1,500,000 Monroe County Airport Runway Extension
$1,170,000 Golden Triangle Regional Airport Air Traffic Control Tower Renovation
$1,530,000 Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport Elevator Replacement Project
$4,400,000 Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport Terminal Roof Replacement
$1,000,000 McCharen Field (West Point) Rehabilitation Project
$900,000 Natchez-Adams County Airport Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Vehicle
$2,500,000 Trent Lott International Airport North Apron Expansion and Taxiway Connector
