AMS has purchased a Cessna 172, available for Tupelo Aviation Unlimited employees to rent at discounted rates.

Airport Management Solutions, LLC (AMS) manages the FBOs at several Mississippi airports. AMS recently announced an employee scholarship program for its Tupelo Aviation Unlimited employees. Employees who successfully complete their initial 90-day line service training program have a $2,000 scholarship for flight training available to them. Additionally, the company purchased a Cessna 172 for rental by the employees and the public. Employees are eligible for discounted rates.

Daniel Harrell, Tupelo Aviation FBO Manager, said that almost all the line service employees at the FBO are training to be pilots.

“This scholarship provides our employees with a head start on their training,” says Harrell. “Additionally, the discounted rental rate for the airplane helps employees who struggle with the ever-increasing cost of flight training.”

Airport Management Solutions has a long history of managing FBOs for municipalities. Unique solutions to employee retention like flight training scholarships is just one example of the AMS “out of the box” thinking. Founded in 2010, AMS is managed by aviation enthusiasts, many of whom are themselves pilots or A/P mechanics.
